Meet Sepideh

Empowering individuals though a holistic approach.

For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to help make people feel better. Whether emotionally by being an empathetic person, to majoring in Biology at University of California Riverside (UCR) with the ambition of going to Medical school and physically helping patients.  However, the universe had a different plan for me as a healer.

I took a leave-of-absence from UCR to go back home and take care of my sick mother. Her recovery process took longer than expected with much turbulence through it all that I could not leave her. She went from suffering from extreme pain to a failed back surgery that left her almost handicap. Her doctors recommended more surgeries or an implantation of a morphine pump in her body to “control” her pain, which she refused. She continued living with pain, having to take strong painkillers with many dangerous side effects as her only solution.

In 2004 I met the Yang to my Yin, my soulmate, my husband Keith. I was intrigued by the result he got from his acupuncturist for many conditions including throwing out his back playing basketball, his allergies/sinus pressure & eczema. I eagerly looked into alternative medicine with the intention of helping the people I love.  It brings me so much joy to say that I was able to help my mom. I lowered her back pain significantly to a point that she can enjoy living life comfortably, without being dependent on pain medication.

With clarity that this is my life-calling I pursued Eastern Medicine as my profession and my passion. I am Board Certified by the state of California to practice Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, hold a Ph.D. degree in Eastern Medicine and science, as well as a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I’ve been practicing acupuncture since 2010, plus 2 years of internship prior to that. During my internship I received an Honors Achievement Award for Excellent Patient Care & Treatment.

As an acupuncturist, I’ve partnered closely with a Neurologist as part of a pain management team for 3 years. Followed by being an acupuncturist for a Mental Health & Addiction Out-patient Clinic for 5 years. In addition I’ve been running a private practice in Santa Monica. My extensive training and clinical experience allows me to offer health care that is customized according to the individual’s specific needs, reaching for optimum physical, mental, and emotional health.

My core value as a healthcare provider is to give each patient full personal attention, understand their condition and apply appropriate treatments. My love for this ancient practice of medicine comes from my own personal belief of a holistic treatment is one the patient benefits from the most.

When I am not being a dedicated acupuncturist, I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband and sweet daughters, going to the beach, bike riding and playing volleyball. I also love cooking for my family, swimming laps & arranging flowers for my home.
